Traca Savadogo

Traca Savadogo is a professional social butterfly. She has a passion for driving big ideas and conversation, and her approach is simple: ask questions, be curious. Savadogo is constantly looking for beautiful moments with strangers. She’ll ask people, ”What’s your story?” or “How do you want to be remembered?” and watch their narratives unfold.
Originally from the Midwest, where having conversations with strangers is commonplace and part of the fabric of society, Savadogo strives to give individuals actionable steps they can use to start having interactions of their own.
She created a “Women and Negotiation: Unlock Your Power” seminar series in partnership with the Foster School of Business at the University of Washington; founded a ‘Master Class Series’ of interviewing techniques for documentary filmmakers; helped launch the ‘Dinner with Your Muslim Neighbor’ series of intimate community conversations in Seattle; works closely with Startup Grind that facilitates fireside chats with leading entrepreneurs; and was the official speaker interviewer for TEDxSeattle 2017.

What is TEDx?

In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TED has created a program called TEDx. TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. Our event is called TEDxSeattle, where x = independently organized TED event. At our TEDxSeattle event, TEDTalks video and live speakers will combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events, including ours, are self-organized.
