TEDxSeattleWomen-SOLD OUT

This event has sold out

TEDxSeattleWomen is a once-a-year event combining live programming from compelling local speakers with lively video footage from the 2018 TEDWomen conference. Join us as we explore ideas worth spreading, under this year’s theme: “Showing up.” We’ll gather in a beautiful vineyard setting in Woodinville to learn from each other, laugh, cry, network, and grow.

Following the speakers’ talks, we’ll have plenty of time to enjoy appetizers and wine at the acclaimed Chateau St. Michelle. Minors may attend; IDs will be checked.

Live speakers this year include

  • Nikkita Oliver, organizer, educator, teaching-artist, attorney and former Seattle Mayoral Candidate
  • Xolie Morra, who speaks and sings around the world about her life with Asperger’s Syndrome. She’ll be joined by her band, The Strange Kind
  • Dr. Fariba Alamdari, diversity advocate and executive from The Boeing Company
  • Deborah Wang, award-winning journalist, and our host for the evening

Doors open at 1:15pm and the program starts at 2:00pm. Afterwards, there will be an informal Reception beginning around 6:15pm until we wind-down at 7:30pm.

With special thanks to our valued partners, without whom this event would be impossible:

What is TEDx?

In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TED has created a program called TEDx. TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. Our event is called TEDxSeattle, where x = independently organized TED event. At our TEDxSeattle event, TEDTalks video and live speakers will combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events, including ours, are self-organized.
